“I cut my life down to what matters and it finally feels right.”
You stopped chasing more and chose less on purpose. The calendar has air in it. The noise dropped. Bounds were never a cage - they are the walls that let a life hold its shape. You found the size that fits you, and it fits.
Your Practice
- Name the three things you kept. They are the core - protect them.
- Name one thing you cut that you do not miss. Let that prove the point.
- Set one bound that keeps the simplicity from creeping back to clutter.
- When something asks to be added, weigh it against what you'd remove.
The Architects
“As a field, although it may be naturally fruitful, cannot produce a crop without dressing, so neither can the mind without education.”
Cicero, Tusculan Disputations, Book II, 5.13 (C. D. Yonge translation, 1877)
