“The health scare turned out fine and I don't want to waste the wake-up.”
The fear was real and now the relief is enormous. The danger in relief is that it fades and the old autopilot returns. The turn to make now, while it's fresh: redirect the gratitude into how you actually live. The scare gave you a free look at what matters. Don't let it close.
Your Practice
- Name what the scare made suddenly clear. Write it before relief erases it.
- Pick one thing you'll do differently starting today, not someday.
- Tell one person what they mean to you while the urgency is still real.
- Set a date to re-read what you wrote, so the lesson doesn't dim.
